Counterstrike Source Benchmark test

Just installed new gfx card (6870)
and ran the css benchmark test to make myself feel good.. when i did.. it loaded, and went down the well bit.. and then proceeded to go through the Whole test staring at the floor.. :S? something to do with amd cards or is there a bug going about i dont know about :eek:

your not the only one, does the same with my 570. not really bothered, i always have v sync on so im limited at 120fps.

Don't use a 6 - 7 year old benchmark.

As above, don't put to much value on such an old, pretty much now invalid bench.

i know its an easy benchmark but it worked perfectly fine on my 460 :s would just swivel at the bottom and get on with it.. but not to worry now i know its not just mine that likes the floor ^.^

I just tried it in the first time in years after reading this, It does the same for me but I get 290fps with everything maxed out,

I would have loved an fps like that back when I played CSS competitively

haha i didn't have everything maxed (AA etc) just all the settings set to high and it was 583 fps avg

did you make sure to change the fps Cap substance?.. i set mine to Fps_max 800 for the benchmark test.. otherwise it caps it at 298-300

Yes apparently there is terrorists running in a tunnel under the benchmark, if you have a aim bot it will aim down. Yes i am guilty of that.

I just thought I'd run the test, and I can now see what the OP means.

With my usual in game settings and with no involvement from nVidia cp, I got around 292 fps. When I then set AA and other settings to the maximum (in game) I got 297 fps average. Strange.

Maybe due to multicore.
