CounterStrike Source Just won't boot up

I've done a fresh format, installed HL2 + CSS from the dvd and let them update.

HL2 Boots up but strangely enough it just 'dissapears' from the desktop.

Any ideas? :confused:

So thats HL2, firefox, and ATi CCC that all fall over for you.

You checked that ram of yours with memtest?

Right ram is sorted, still having the same problems!

good point, considering you just done a fresh format, might of got some bad drivers.

try re roll them and re install them

Are you forcing a certain refresh rate for the resolution you want to run CSS in? Using refreshforce or the ATI control panel?
