couple forgot to activate xp

hi I recently reformatted an old couples pc and reinstalled xp for them . I had to use jelly bean to retrieve their cd key as they couldnt find their original cd.

trouble is they went on holiday and didnt activate it before they left :rolleyes:

is there any way of retrieving the key now the 30 days is up?

Why do you need it? You don't need to type the key again to activate windows, and once it's activated you can use the keyfinder again if you need to.

after the 30 days if its not activated then are you not locked out?

When you boot after the 30 days are up (or log in, if you have multiple users set up), you just get asked to activate immediately or log off.

With a dial-up internet connection you might not be able to get online to activate, but you can at the very least still activate by phone. You won't need your key and it'll work fine.
