Couple of 360 questions

I recently sold off my pc for a <£500 laptop to do work/internet/download on etc, and I'm now thinking of getting a 360 to play some games on. I just had a few questions though:

There's a deal at a big retailer for a 360 with an extra wireless controller, wwe vs wwf (something like that) PGR3, and 2 games of your choice for £325... is this a good deal?

Does it come with the cables to connect it to an ordinairy TV, i.e. one that is not HD compliant.. we have a 21" in the living room with the yellow/red/white inputs on the front and scart on the back.

Lastly, do I need a special cable to connect it to my Dell 2007WFP or does it come with the correct one?

Thanks for any help!

Ive not looked into package deals but i paid a lot more for mine when i got it; looks ok - AFAIK the Component cable that comes with the Premium is ok for normal TV has RGB inputs + scart adapter also. To plug into your monitor you'll have to buy the VGA Cable (£15-£20) and the official one gives the best quality

1.) That is a cracking deal

2.) It comes with a component cable (in the premium) which has a scart adapter for use with a conventional CRT

3.) You'll need a 360 VGA lead for use with your monitor

The FP does, the WFP doesn't.

most of the reviews on google seem to indicate it has

Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP

Review

The good: Excellent image quality; includes composite and S-Video inputs; HDTV-compatible wide screen; excellent ergonomics; attractive price.

Unless the US model does and UK doesn't as these were from US based review sites

No composite on that pic...

It has S-Video (Yellow), VGA (Blue) and DVI (White)

Err composite is yellow ALWAYS (when its a separate socket and not carried in a scart connector) - the s-video input is just above it - the black one .

I hope you guys realize the difference between Composite (as shown on that image) and Component (Required to output HD from the 360 if not using the VGA cable).

The Dell's got composite input too so you could use that "out of the box" but for best quality get the VGA lead as said.
Whatever you do don't use it through composite (the 2007WFP does have composite btw, the yellow input show above). It'll be limited to very low res and composite is just horrible, and the composite input on the 2007WFP is terrible too. Get the official MS VGA lead and it will look ten times better.

No point buying a 360 to use it through composite

Don't worry I bought the VGA cable! Will be playing it on a normal crappy TV too.. didn't get the deal I wanted as they don't do it anymore, but I picked up a 360 with gears and cod 3 for £309.99 so didn't do too badly! The last 360 and second to last copy of G.O.W the store had, and I had to go between 2 different places to piece it together  Should be worth it though!
