Couple of basic PS3 questions.

It's always been known as that.
Those who only had a PS3 raved about it, those who had other choices mostly didn't.

Myself and Kreeeee for example really don't like it.

Crap - I had my PS3, 360 & Wii at the time of buying Warhwak and I loved it. I thought it was great fun and was the most I have played any game online on consoles.

The usual games call of duty 4 - metal gear solid 4 - but rainbow 6 vegas 2 and ghost recon 2 are both worth a bash online if you like shooters and you said you did and both can be picked up cheap also battlefield bad company might interest you when it comes out , add me if you want as i still play call of duty a fair bit .

Someones useless at Warhawk.
I assume some people are. I wouldn't assume it's me though.
I play many, many games, I would assume more than most, and I've played many, many games that are a lot better than Warhawk (including the original on the Playstation).

I took my keyboard out my PS3 and put it on here just to type this message.
Doesn't your PC have a keyboard? Why not just type it on the PS3?

Read it again Joe. "mostly". Quite a simple word but it does change what is said from "everyone".

I'm not saying this is you at all by the way, but some people on here are easily played. The two most critical people of games I know on here are myself and Kreeeee and that's by a long way. Neither of us have an allegiance to any console (unlike many).

Some people like Warhawk, I understand that, but I was put off by the terrible animation, average graphics, average sounds, boring vehicles, poor interface, annoying targeting reticule, unimaginative maps and it didn't bring anything new to the genre.

Just my take on it.

I had it at the same time as super stardust and it just never got a look in. I had a 360 with Halo, RB6, GRAW etc so it really did seem like a poor game when I played it.

You'd love anything PS3 related though. :p

Geez, you're beginning to sound like a reviewer.

And I personally would actually say the opposite of all those points about the game

Btw, why did you suddenly decide to get SSHD?

I got a free license. I always wanted it but my card details are different on my PSN account to the card I own and I'm too lazy to find out how to change it.

As for saying you'd say the opposite... are you genuinely gonna tell me you think it has excellent animation, a great targeting reticule etc... ?

Ive never been that into Super Stardust HD, can be intense at times but havent really ever wanted to reply it that much. Pixel Junk Monsters is where its at.

Well.. yes actually. I love the way the soldiers run and the animations of the Warhawks. Although I can't say the reticule is 'excellent' ... it's just a reticule.
And yeah, I personally find the graphics pretty good (including the style); I can't see anything wrong with the interface; sounds are good (very different); maps very well done imo; but ok, the jeep and tank are boring compared to the warhawks and new vehicles in the add-on packs.
The only gripe I have with the game is that I'm utter **** at it, so don't play it much.

Heh, I probably came off a little bitchy above.
I mean, from a technical aspect it's not good (animation), but if some people like that stylization it's all down to personal tasted.

I just feel Warhawk is a very poor mans Battlefield/Hidden and Dangerous etc..
It also annoys me that in every server I've ever played in, I'd say over 80% of people aren't doing any form of objective, they don't stop to pick you up in their vehicles, there is no team work and because Sony never bundled headsets with all consoles, it's just not as social as I expect games to be.

Do you sniff your own farts? :p

To be fair to Warhawk I don't think it was aiming for a realistic look. The game is very arcady and so the animation is deliberately unrealistic.

Personally I never got into it and it's to my cu of tea, but reviewers who have played more online games from current consoles than anyone on this board have shown a lot of praise for it.

I see what you mean about getting a bigger TV but he already has a 37" Sharp TV, and the 19" fits nicely in the kitchen :)

I could get him to get another PS3 and sell it new but its upto him at the end of the day. He had enough points to get a 40" Sony £800 TV but that would have used them all up. Theres lots of things to choose from, aeroplane flying lessons, car racing day things, lots of electrical equipment etc etc.

P.s. im going to get Cod4 and give that a blast. The console only comes with one controller and no games!
