1, I am pretty sure this is a no, but can the iMac handle any external video inputs, eg: XBOX 360?

2, Also on the same line, are there any accessories to make the iMac work as a TV, like external USB TV card etc?

Cheers :)

You should look at elgato products for macs, I've had a usb dongle for Freeview and the EyeTV software is the best around, you'll love it.

Some external tv options can accept video in, which is displayed through EyeTV, but these are small boxes, not dongle form. Again these are from Elgato

*Look on Apple's site under Video Devices, some of the bigger video devies which accept video inputs are there. Elgato 400 I think is the one?

Video output only, via the DVI connector.

Any video-input technology would have to be USB-based.

I believe that there are some unoffical hacks that allow you to use the iMac screen as a monitor for other things, but personally don't know how you do it.

I'd second looking at Elgato, they also have a h.264 encoding usb stick that offloads converting your video to iPod Video format for you and can add into iTunes automatically.
