Hi guys

I'm having a couple of small problems with the Antec Nine Hundred case - firstly, the front USB ports don't work, even though they are plugged in, and also the front two fans don't spin (though the lights are on) - these too are plugged in. Any thoughts what the problem could be?

Could it be a broken case? Sounds strange to me, the fans should definitely work. You got them hooked up to a fan controller?

have you tried moving the switches to see if there is a problem with the switches on the front fans.

as re the usb ports is it a new mobo or an old one?

Hmm, strange that both fans would be knackered . . . Try a different power connector, as in a different 'string' of connections.

Make sure you have your usb connectors on orientated correctly on the usb header, I did this myself and the pc would not power on, thought I had a duff mobo at first :p untill I let the headless chicken syndrome settle and carefully rechecked all my connections. hope you get it sorted soon.

Thanks for all your responses - I've solved the fan problem - turns out it was a faulty power connection. The usb ports still don't work...I have the gigabyte DS3P motherboard (which is new too)

The gigabyte has three additional USB headers on the board so try each of those to make sure it's not the header instead of the case usb. If you have a spare usb back plate header it might be worth trying that as well.
