Couple of questions on cables

My current setup is DVI to Monitor and HDMI to TV, the rx470 has 2xHDMI slots so is there any reason i shouldn't hook both up by HDMI and stick with DVI+HDMI? For no reason other than convenience really and it's just a 60Hz 1080p monitor.

Other question is about PCIE cable adapters as my PSU (Corsair HX520) doesn't have 6+2 pin leads with it being an older version. I ordered two different kinds of adapters to be safe, a straight 6pin pcie to 8pin adapter and a 2x Molex to 8pin adapter. Would one of them be better than the other or does it not matter? I'd obviously prefer to use the 6pin to 8pin one for less clutter.

For your use, HDMI is fine. As for cables, neither is ideal. However, the 6 pin to 8 pin is the safer bet. Molex adaptors are notorious for melting and/or catching fire, STAY AWAY!

Cheers. I also bought proper Corsair 6+2 pin cable but i didn't realise that the other end was also 8pin and there's no 8pin sockets on the PSU, d'oh.

Just gotta hope my ancient motherboard recognises the card when it comes now :p

Edit - wait... would it work plugging the 6pin from the 6+2 end into the PSU and the 8pin into he GPU?
