Hi. I've never had a TFT screen i'm currently on a 17" CRT.

I've now got a much larger workspace and been looking into the Dell 2007FP.
Knowing nothing of TFTs and trying to find online guides (didn't Badass have one?) I have a few questions:

1) I have an ATI x800xl. I presume my card will support the monitor?

2) Can I connect an X-Box 360 to it?

3) Is it worth the price? £246.74!!!!!

I'm tempted, but moving from a 17" CRT i'm thinking of taking a small step first by going to a 19" widescreen instead of the 20".

Thanks!

1. Yes your card will support it.

2. I presume so, not too familiar with the xbox 360 but I believe you can input via component or hdmi --> DVI input.

3. It is probably worth going for a 20" over a 19" as you get the bump in resolution. Your 17" CRT's maximum resolution presumably is 1280 x 1024 (or possibly even 1024 x 768). If it is the former it is the same as a 19" TFT so you may feel disappointed not getting any more desktop space. Going for the 20" TFT, the resolution is boosted to 1680 x 1050 (2007WFP) or 1600 x 1200 (2007FP). Which one you choose would depend on what you are going to use it for. Personally I would go for the widescreen (I watch a lot of films and like widescreen gaming) but that would be up to you. As to whether it is worth it, I will just say this. I upgraded to a 2001FP in 2004. Now I have a 3007WFP. Here is how I see it:
Pros - Colours, resolution, size, sharpness
Cons - if you are a hardcore FPS gamer you will probably miss gaming on a CRT (just my opinion, a lot of people swear by LCDs for gaming)
