Sorting out my DVD's now ive moved back home and i came accross my Coupling boxset.

I forgot how funny this show is, a lot of people would associate it as a British Friends - however the comedy isnt exactly the same. Its extremely well directed aswell, especially some episodes where they have "crossing stories"

Some of the speeches, and quotes are so good.

You’ve never understood about bottoms, Jane. Having a bottom is like living with the enemy. Not only do they spend their lives slowly inflating, they flirt with men while we’re looking the other way.

Sally: Mary Kelly thinks you’re a complete idiot.
Patrick: Then why does she keep looking at my arse when we’re talking?
Sally: She’s lip-reading.

Rule one of playing it cool... only smile at her face.

I need breasts with brains. I don’t mean individual brains, obviously... I mean, not a brain each. You know, I like intelligent women, but you’ve got to draw the line somewhere... I think breast brains would be over-egging the woman pudding.

Anyone else like it?

Liked it a lot until the last series when they replaced Jeff with that other guy, but it was still pretty funny. Have series 1 to 3 on DVD, need to pick up the 4th at some stage.

Oh and Sarah Alexander is pretty nice too!

Was just about to start watching through the DVDs again myself actually.

Yea she is!

i was bad i got all the DVD's seperately and then bought the boxset! so got 2 copies ill happily send you the 4th series matey.

That would be very cool ;) :).

I've lent them to my mate atm, but ill nab the 4th season back - ill drop you a mail when ive got it.

"Jeff how well do you know that Steve guy"

"how well? we're porn buddies!"

"...is that code?"

"no no, if Steve ever died - id go to his house and clear out the porn before his parents got round"

"you guys have actually made arrangements to destroy porn evidence? do you keep them?"

"..well it is one of the perks!"

Watching through the first episode at the moment, its so damn funny.

Jeff is an absoloute legend...

"go away jeff, what do i have to do show you a breast.."

"...ok"

The thing is, Jeff lives inside every bloke.

When hes talking about foreplay - and is like "you have to take it seriously, you could end up a naked man stuck in socks.."

i love it when he tries to pull that foreign bird, and she thinks he collects ears.!

Susan - "i called him donkey"

Sally - "what, you mean"

Susan - "some men are born very lucky, very lucky"

Sally - "what was patrick born"

Susan - "a tripod"

and Jeff

"when you get to her house, check out her remotes... you know like for her stereo and tv etc.."

thats the one DRZ :)

i just remember patrick talking about how he got scammed by 2 twins, working him at the same time

then adds

"yea woulda been worse if they was identical"

"The BBC asked us for a fifth series, but getting all our cast in the same place at the same time just got too difficult. Also, we all had a lurking suspicion that we'd finished the story with the last one (Nine And A Half Months), and that it was a good note to go out on. Quit while you're ahead, wise people say. But sod those boring wise people, we're gonna do a Christmas Special."

I loved this show, got the first three series on dvd, might get hold of the 4th series, but i didn't think it was as good really. The giggleloop was my favourite episode i think. Any word on a 5th series?

No 5th series, the writer (steven moffat?) thought it ended on a good note, and getting the cast together was hard with Jeff being in another series (spooks i think?) and the other dude Steve Taylor becoming a wee bit hollywood with the likes of pirates of the caribbean.

And Oliver (i think) from Season 4 was no Jeff, but he was still funny - plus Jeff stilled made an appearance of sorts in the first and last ep of the series iirc.

"No Jeff, its called Lezbo's..not lesbos"
