i want to buy an item of an auction site, but the seller only sells with collection, or he will deliver in a certain radius of 50 miles around him. i am out of that radius, and he wants COD.

is it possible to send a courier to get the item from him, and give my money to him, and deliver the item back to me?

Would it not just be easier for him to arrange for delivery and you Paypal the money + delivery cost to him?

I'm not really sure a courier would be willing to carry money for someone, I am not positive though.

You would have to pay for a collection on delivery.
The delivery would be cash, the collection would be the item.
You would be better off sourcing the item from some who takes pay pal as you will basically get stuffed for twice as much as a standard delivery.

Or he could arrange it from his end, no delivery without collection, either way, its expensive.

if you are happy the item will be as seen... then arrange a bank transfer, all you need is sort code and account number and it'll go into his account....

and give http://www.sendmy-parcel.co.uk/ a shout, they will arrange a courier service.

Dude,

Have you actually asked him if hes willing to stay in for a day / half day for a courier to pick something up when he probably dosent have the correct sort of packaging to sent it off?

****s me off when people do this to me, buy something off me and then go "okay courier will come on xday" without asking me. Or asking me after they've won the auction.

Had to have 3 negative feedbacks removed from ebay due to this as well. (which is bloody hard to do) ¬_¬
