I'm interested in improving my IT skills somewhat, currently I'm a lowly technician who's job it is to make sure that the 8 year old hardware we use keeps on going (servers were installed in 2000 and we are still using windows 2000 on a majority of our workstations). Using such old stuff, and not being able to buy any new stuff since the directors don't "like" computers, is starting to take its toll on my interest in IT as a whole. I'm pretty much self taught in the art of repairing computers, I did go to college for 2 years but that was useless.
I want to learn more about networking, specifically how to set up different servers from scratch and be able to maintain them etc. Does anyone know of any courses or anything that I could learn more about this kind of thing? I have been looking around but nothing seems to be what I'm looking for.
This is probably a bit of a vague post, but I thought I would ask anyways heh
