How does this cover letter sound? It's actually an email with attached CV.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I would like to apply for the position 'Computer Engineer MAE/28998' , please find my current CV attached.

I look forward to hearing from you but in the meantime, if you require any further information please do not hesitiate to contact me.

Kind Regards,

digitalwolf.

That's perfectly fine as a cover letter - brief and to the point. You might want to add a contact number/email address to the cover, so the person does not have to open your cv to find the details.

Maybe a bit stilted. If I was being pedantic ...

Dear Sir/Madam is actually very bad. Make the effort to get a name, or at least a job title.

You are telling them you would like to apply for a job. Deep joy. Are you going to apply for it then? Better would be something like : This is my application to be considered for .....

Please find my ... is clumsy and unnatural, what about :
I have enclosed my CV along with this covering letter.
It is a new sentence. Not a comma. Two ideas, two sentences.

I hope to hear .... bit stilted again, what about "If you want to speak to me about my application or need more information I can be contacted on... (and give a reliable contact number or email address)!

Kind regards - don't like it - perhaps "yours sincerely" or "yours faithfully" depending on whether you know the person. Kind regards, best regards is a bit annonymous fax-like.

I think you should aim for business like clear concise, but personal english. Pseudo business babble is unnecessary imho.

There are web sites with examples of all sorts of letters you might have to write in life.

Ok thats great thanks.

Is there a way of uploading your CV so it will just open up in word on jobsite when the potential employer opens the email??

I don't like the way it seems to dismantle your cv into a basic format if you upload it to your profile.
