Quick question. Can you get coverlow album art in iTunes on the iPad?

Rotate the iPad (or iPhone) by 90 degrees and coverflow appears.

I know it does that on the iphone but I don't think it does on the ipad.

No it doesn't do it on the iPad, well not with the default player anyway.
