coving.......

Hay, just put some coving up in lounge, fitted etc fine, gone round top & bottom with decorators caulk to fill any gaps, but.......the gaps you have when you join coving together, can you use the coving adhesive to fill those? Just curious before I paint it. Thanks

use the coving adhesive, it's fine, i've done it for years and looking up at mine now it's spot on, doesn't crack etc...

Don't do this it will sink slightly into the join and make it very obvious when painted. Use either the adhesive or a decent filer as these can be sanded leaving you with a nice smooth finish hiding the joins away.

Just trying to save people from my mistakes having used Caulk for a few jobs it was totally not suitable for and suffered the pain of removing it!

I try and make it look as best I can with the adhesive, then when everything is dry go over the needed areas with coving filler.
