CPC Dream PC 2009

Afraid I'm going to be the rain on the parade and say that it doesn't do anything for me. Fairly bland TJ07 build with a lot of money just thrown at it.
 
That's the thing with "customizing" your PC, you end up with something that looks like everybody else's customized PC. Most off the shelf parts make modding very accessible but also end up leaving something that looks "me too". Nothing wrong with that of course. ;)

The front panel's taken it's cue from the Murder Mods stuff and the inside's very neat (and expensive) but it does look like many other TJ07's that have gone before it.

It's very nice however, though the whole prostitute's window box thing doesn't do it for me.
 
OCUK's rather pale competitor's aquatic themed PC that got entered last year or the year before was proper quality. TJ07, chrome plated = win.
 
That's PC of the year? Fair enough the equipment inside is alright (though why 4x32GB SSDs instead of 2x128GB? But other than that, it looks extremely bland and run of the mill. Every PC on MDPC looks better than that.
 
Yea, but the MDPC builds are like children to theyre owners haha, a lot of hours of work gone into them and are one off builds. Couldnt see anyone making and selling PC's built to that same standard and if they did hardly anybody would buy them as they'd be ridiculously overpriced for what they were.

CPC Dream PC tend to just be very high spec systems, but ones anybody can buy if they have the money. They obviously cant include the far more impressive one off builds, even though they tend to be much more 'Dreamy' haha

Yeah OcUK should seriously be entering a PC into this competition, performance is their forte after all.

I'd like to see what they could come up with, having said that, they don't really do the real "custom" stuff do they? Most of the stuff in OcUK builds is just off the shelf.
 
Ducky Spud last years dreampc winner was £11k - even murder mods are cheaper (maybe not with all the seriously over the top kit that was in the pc though) not sure i like white tubes with black ak coils. Black coils detract from aesthetics imo
