hey i have a presler 930 just set my system up and check in bios and its at like 87 - 91 just in bios i am using the stock cooler which is at 2500rpm and unable to change in bios. Also i have no artic silver ( as i dont have any ) but surely this will not caus it to be soooo high?

What should i be getting at stock with a stock cooler.

I don't understand why you didn't apply it when you installed. You get an ample amount supplied with the retail package.

i have lost it i brought this about 4months ago just never got round to building it as i seem to get a new pc every month

Yet, you thought 87-91 without paste was high... with all that build experience.

my amd64 system did not have paste on and this was running fine and never over heated . I know that it is not a Neccesity for a chip but it does help keep the chip cool by reducing the air between them.

or maybe my life doesnt revolve around a internet forum ;) . I know i should really get some Artic Silver on im not disuputing that. but the FACT is it can run without it and keep in Safe Temps until i go and buy some.

And it turns out the Fan was just not seated well. I will continue to run it without paste until i go into town and buy some.

Do you people even read the thread :S not once have i argued . I have agreed i need some paste just I have said i will be running without paste until it comes?

But am i not wrong tho? it has been keeping around 55-63 since i have been using it . IT has not Burnt Out as you said it would.

So what have you been right about?

Its not at ideal temperatures but for a few days there is no harm done.

This thread is boring me now . You say keep off because its going to cook i keep on and it hasnt cooked i will be getting my thermal paste today so i do not see why there should be any more discussion
