CPU Advice

Ok so overclocking the RAM is also straight forward? On another note i think i have this CPU Cooler, what speeds would i be able to hit you reckon?

You actually won't be overclocking the RAM, as you will just be running it at the speed Corsair has rated it to run at. What you are overclocking is the Integrated Memory Controller (IMC). This is relatively simple to do - just go into the BIOS and set the DRAM voltage to 1.5V, the effective memory frequency to 1600MHz and the timings to 9-9-9-24 (tCL, tRCD, tRP, and tRAS).

As for overclocking the i5 2500K with that cooler - I would aim for 4.5GHz :)

Ok thanks for all your help :) Am i best off buying OEM as i already have the cooler on my current system that ill use?

Try get a i5 750 or 760 on ebay. Maybe for less than £100.

My budget is about £250 now, i've heard the 2500k is good and easy to overclock. I've been looking for a i5 760 on the cheap but cant seem to find one and id like warranty.
My other option is to get the 760 and maybe get a gfx card aswell but for £100 im not realy going to get one much better then my 5830 am i?
