My question is, I'll be using it for top-notch intensive gaming. Shall I go for the 2500k and try to OC it or wait for Ivybridge release in April?

Thoughts? Advice?

Thanks in advance!

I think the ball's in your court really.

In case it helps you decide, an option that you may not have considered would be to go for either an i5-2500k or something cheaper now and decide in April whether it's worth going for Ivybridge and selling whatever cpu you choose now.
