CPU and GPU Combinations

Hi all who are reading this,
I am currently buying parts for a PC that my friend is building me (he has built two or three before with no problems and he is also the person who told me which parts to get), and I am just wondering whether my current CPU and GPU combination is a good set up to have to achieve ultra or high settings on games such as GTA 5 (when it is released), Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 (again, when it is released). My GPU AND CPU Combination with the other components are as follows:
-AMD FX4100
-Sapphire 11200-14-20G OC Sapphire Card (2GB, HD7850, GDDR5)
-8GB of RAM
-500GB HDD
-600w PSU .
If this set up is not good enough, please reply to this thread with any suggestions of a better CPU and GPU combination or anything else on the list as I am open to suggestions. However I am not wanting to go too far up from the price of this current combination of about £200 in total for the CPU and GPU, but if the other components need to be changed, I'll take that into consideration.

Hey mickyflinn, is that a better CPU and GPU combination than what I am currently getting performance wise? And are the other components what I should get or is that just a set up you recommend? Thanks
 
Oh right thanks, the GPU looks different from the one I first noted is this the case or not I'm really not sure. Because when I looked at it only had one DVI input but I would rather have two when I create my dual screen setup.

That is a good point, my current monitor that I have bought is DVI and HDMI so I might consider it, thanks. So is the CPU better all around?
 
AsRock N68C-GS FX as my motherboard. I've already bought a 600w PSU that is branded (Corsair) and it is part of their Builder Series. So is the general Consensus that the 6300 is better than the 4100? And also, are there any improvements that I could possibly make to ensure I get ultra settings? I noticed that with 6300, it reach that fps, but would the GPU be able to keep up with that as well? (Sorry if this seems repetitive but I'm new to computer gaming!)

So guys, if I get the AMD 6300 and keep my current set up, will I be able to achieve medium to high settings in BF4? Sorry for being a pain but I've only just got into PC gaming and so I don't know my way around computers completely, so bare with me! What does BIOS mean?
 
Thanks a bunch guys, you really have saved me from heart ache if I was to stay with my original processor! I will stick with my Sapphire 7850 but I'll change the processor to a AMD 6300 now, I've got all I've wanted to know, and so I must say thank you again! (One thing I have also noticed is that the PC gaming community is a lot nicer than the console gaming community in every way! I had previously only used the PSN as a community and they really aren't that good.)
 
Hi again, sorry to continue on this post but I''ve decided that I'm to get the FX6300 but I'm also going to pair it with AMD 7870. Will this still work with the motherboard and will I see any really noticeable differences?

Swapping a 7850 for a 7870 is not worth the performance jump for the cost. I would look at getting either a 7950, a 7970 or an R9 280X. However one of these card will bottleneck the CPU at stock, requiring either an decent Overclock or better CPU. Both of these will require a new motherboard.

I am going to be using FX6300 and also the 7870 in my future build, (I currently don't own a gaming PC). Will these both still work for my motherboard?

Yeah I get you, I haven't bought the CPU or GPU yet just the motherboard, PSU, RAM (4GB I'm gonna be getting an extra 4GB) and the case. Thanks again for the help, you guys are doing me massive favour
