Hi guys,

Bought these products, but I am not getting it to give an output to the screens, but fans stay on when i boot it up. Sent the mobo back to test and its working. Same story with the CPU. I have tried my friends Kingston HyperX ram modules too. Any ideas what the issue is, is the cpu incompatible?

Any help will be greatly aprreciated as I am at my wits end. Have used a Phenom II X2 in the mobo and it works bang on

The cpu is compatible but you need bios version 0401. It might have a older bios on the board. Put the Phenom in and check the bios version. If it's older than 0401 download the latest bios from Asus website and save it to a USB stick. Boot the motherboard and hit Alt and F2 on the post screen and use EZ-Flash to upgrade the bios. You don't need windows to be installed to flash the bios.

Thought it could be my psu, but it powered the system when using a the X2, without plugging up the graphics card, so the power draw was well below the 450W limit of the psu even with the FX4100 which draws 95w as opposed to the 80w of the X2
