Ok, bit of a "spec me" thread this one.
My mate has asked for help with upgrading his father in laws PC (yes really
) and I'm a bit out of the loop with whats hot and whats....not
This will be used mainly for video editing (holiday footage as he travels allot)
Currently he has a quad core phenom CPU (unsure of exact spec) that drags it's heels a bit too much.
I advised going Intel would be a good idea as I've heard they are better at pure number crunching, but I'm not sure what one would suit.
He has 8 Gig of DDR2 RAM, 800watt PSU. Let me know if you need any other info.
