So currently running a 5950x with an EK Velocity block, love the block it's performance is great but unfortunately aesthetically the RGB LEDs really let it down.

RGB on it when set to white has quite a blue hue to it compared to the rest of the systems LEDs (I've even had a replacement set of LEDs from EK with the same problem) and I've even thought of manually resoldering new LEDs but finding replacements not as easy to source as these blocks use 3535 SMD LEDs unlike the common 5050 and maybe thats a reason for the colour issues but anyway couldn't find anything that I know would work

So unfortunately it looks like just for aesthetics I'm gonna change the block

So my questions to you all are, what block would you recommend and why? And have you personally owned the block and can confirm the LEDs are primarily white when set to white and not have the EK blue hue?

Thanks for all the reply's guys

My build is white and primarily my RGB will be white too and as everything else is RGB and the whole thing lights up like a Christmas tree my block must have RGB and want it to match in

I already have an Alphacool GPU block and love the RGB on that so after having a look, think and reading your comments I may just go with the Alphacool and sell my Velocity block

It's a shame though as I do like the look of the Velocity, especially since changing the silver surround/bezel to the white one, it's a smart looking block but the RGB has ruined it for me :(

Thanks guys

Yeh tweaking's not an option for me as I have about 10/11 RGB devices on 2 headers so that wouldn't work with the way I've split them

So Rob here @ OCUK has sorted me out an Alphacool Edge block that will be here tomorrow so I'm pretty sure it will do the trick :D

New block arrived and much happier with how it fits in the build, led colour is perfect

Only thing now is I need to redo all my pipework as not happy with it the way it is lol
