Hi There,
I am a gamer and am playing cod warzone for a living. I recently bought the KFA2 HOF RTX3080 ti.
My PC specs you can find here:
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor -
KFA2 HOF RTX3080 ti -
NZXT Kraken M22 Liquid CPU Cooler -
Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard -
G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory -
Crucial P2 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive -
NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case -
GAMDIAS KRATOS P1 G 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply -
Samsung LC27G55TQWNXZA 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor

I am playing on 1440p and low settings.

Through the update, I had the hope that I will reach consistently at least 144 fps in the game.
Unfortunately, I still am not and am running at max 120 fps, but with a dropping to 95 on the lower end and having 135 at the top end.

Things I have done so far:
- Watch countless youtube videos to tweak settings to optimal
- Updated Bios and chipset driver
- Enabled DOCP Profil

In Game my GPU is running at about 30% and my CPU at 50% in the task manager.

Then I found a YT video talking about the latency in ms for GPU and CPU in warzone.
GPU time: 3-4 ms
CPU time: 9-11 ms
As I learned there is a relation between these and the FPS I get.
Considering the slower times of the CPU I should get the FPS mentioned above.

Now, I am unsure if the CPU is broken, bad, slow, or whatever as it seems like I am CPU bound and 9-11ms seems to be too slow to me.

Maybe somebody can help me and tell me if these numbers are normal and to be expected or I am missing something vital.

Please help me.

Thank you,
Martin

A 5800X would be more than enough for Warzone I'd have thought. He needs the single core IPC mostly.
The 5950X is about 20 fps higher than the 5800X and 5900X in warzone when CPU limited.
Will that improve the performance drastically?

Yes and overclocking the ram will also improve performance by quite a lot.

The difference between 3200/16 ram and 3800/14 can be up to 30+fps in some sections.

They are all pretty similar. The 5800X and The g 5950X have a small edge when overclocked. I’d probably wait to see what the 3D-V cache versions of Ryzen offer. The game will probably get an update for the new chips and Nvidia may releases a better driver.

He's only aiming for 144 FPS. I don't think a 5800X is going to struggle with that, not sure the 5950X is worth the extra but benches comparing the two are actually pretty hard to find.

Agree regarding the RAM, although 3800mhz may not be achievable depending on your mem controller.

If he's playing warzone competitively for a living then every bit of extra performance is worth it.

Would also consider a 240hz monitor but even running 200hz+ on a 144hz will give you an advantage with input lag which is why people run CSGO at 6/700fps on low even though monitors cap out at 360hz.

Could also check how hot the cpu gets under load with that cooler and what frequency it sits at, plus check that the ram is actually running at 3200mhz?

I would test it - can you help me how? What program to use?
RAM: My HWiNFO shows that my ram is 32GB DDR4 SDRAM
Clock: 1600 MHz = 16.00 * 100 MHz
Dual Channel

I have never overclocked anything... Any good guides?

Task Manager doesn't show accurately what is happening.

You need to display your full GPU and CPU usage in game. A full breakdown of what each core is doing. Then you'll have a better idea where the bottleneck is.
