CPU bottlenecking

more to the point why would you have a 920 and not overclock it? Even a CO should be good for 3.6- 3.8 under reasonable aftermarket air cooling. I assume you would have a case with reasonable airflow if you are looking at a crossfire setup?

ive got the original stepping one with a crap cooler. case is an antec 183 but its stuffed full to the brim at the moment and the two cards can get a little warm at the moment :D getting a new case when ive got some spare coin.

been pondering for a while jumping to sandybridge but dont know if its worth it really? if its not causing me much of a problem I will probably wait till the next generation
 
Get a new cooler, OC and wait for ivy IMO, a 3.6Ghz 920 (even the first gen should be able to do this) should be plenty fast enough until then.
