Im looking to buy either a 4770k or 4670k, I mainly game with some editing! looking to spend around £500 for cpu mobo and ram but can go higher!

I do like the Asus Z87 SABERTOOTH as im running the sabertooth in my 3570k system, but it says it supports DDR3 1866/1600/1333 MHz, and iv heard haswell likes faster ram!

I was looking for a full build few weeks ago, but moving house has wiped some funds out so having to make do with old case hdd etc!

Is this to replace your 3570k system or a separate rig?

Ivybridge didn't benifit from RAM over 1600mhz, Haswell does.. So you can use faster RAM..

If its gaming with some light video and photo editing the 4670k is the right choice..

If its heavy editing with a little gaming then the 4700k is the one to go for.

this is a second rig, i was short on cash so was looking for a bundle but just won £2000 so budget had increased again!

is it possible for me to delete a thread?

Just what I was looking for as a heavy editing rig... so 4700k it is! thanks
