ok been looking at the next cpu to get, my choices are?

[Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.20GHz Socket 775 800FSB 2MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor

or

Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 (1.86Ghz) Socket 775 FSB1066 4MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor

which one would be the best option to go for? how does the cache affect it?

Its probably the same as the inital conroe releases, most of the time its not a big factor. Upto 10% on something repetitive like winrar maybe

it won't matter, because you won't be maxing out either core anyway ;)

that 10% difference would mostly show when the core is maxed out and cache helps it to order up the queing of data a little better, when not maxed out it should make a smaller difference 1-2% maybe, but that 1-2% will only really be seen if you're waiting on the cpu only, which with games, rarely ever happens so not a big deal at all. but if theres only a £5-10 difference, when it comes to upgrading next time and selling on, people prefer to buy the higher cache versions of older chips as they appear to be a little more future proof, in reality they aren't, but you'll probo get that £5-10 back when you sell it, and find it easier to sell.
