CPU choice help...suggestions.

For Intel you have a few choices....budget end = E2180, mid-range = E7200, high end = E8400 or Q6600.

AMDs are a waste of money at the moment.

Intel for the win!!

This is an easy one. Unless you have existing MB for AMD socket processor and can't bear to see it go - it's Intel all the way at the moment. AMD ain't close on performance especially when you factor in overclocking

If you want 3.2Ghz, you might as well do a bit of overclocking (which is very, very easy if you spend a few hours doing research) and save $$$ on buying a more expensive part.

I've never known a more overclocking friendly time on processors than now with Intel's range.

Oh, again, AMD X4 chips currently ain't overclocking as well and getting nice and toasty trying with the extra VCORE... ;)
