I am doing a complete new build this week or next and have already have a Z77 Board, Case, PSU, NH-D14 and have 2TB of storage and an M4 128gb and i will be getting either a 680GTX or 7970 OC as well.

I know this is a question a lot of people are asking but do i go for the Ivy 3570k or the 2500k.

I want to know if i will see any difference in PCI Express 3.0 rather than 2.0 and will USB 3.0 work on both formats, i am not a serious overclocker but 4.5ghz on my listed CPU cooling is what i am aiming for.

No difference PCIe2 vs PCIe3.

USB3? don't know.... I have USB3 on my MOBO, i did not know that was CPU dependant? it seems to work perfectly well with my old x6 1090T
Personally given that SB is only marginally faster than IB, and most of that is down to clock speed, also IB runs hotter and will need more cooling to overclock but uses less power....

Weighing all that up, not having a SB i would go IB, yet if i had SB i would stick with it.

You'll hit 4.5Ghz most likely with the 3570k so you might as well get that if all you want is 4.5 and not the max you can get. Unless you care enough about the extra £30 or so it'll cost. You won't notice a difference with PCIe 3.0 outside of specific games when crossfiring multiple GPU's and USB 3.0 will work with both.
