Hi Guys.
I would like to upgrade my CPU but I’m not sure if any of the newer model Intel chips are compatible with my mother board, (asus p5n32-sli premium).
Running with an over clocked Intel core duo E6600 at the mo.
Thinking about Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 2.66GHz 6MB-cache.
Can’t seem to find any guides on the subject.
Cheers…

Thanks for help.
Wasn’t sure which category the thread would fall under..
Could you suggest a more suitable option for an upgrade?

Have you looked at this guys link he posted your E6600 is nearly the best CPU your gonna get for that mobo try just buyin a real big ass cooler and overclocking.

Really, if you want a meaningful upgrade you will have to get a new board as well. The E6600 is still a fine cpu. Mine was able to hit 3.8Ghz. I would clock it as high as you can and bide your time until you need to upgrade the whole rig to i7 or whatever is best at the time.
