but now I think there is another problem.
I don't think the CPU is compatible with the motherboard?
I thought as long as the socket was the same it would be fine but now I am doubting that.
If you read the thread above it will get you up to speed on the motherboards in question and the heatsink problem I had, however, now I am worried the CPU is wrong for the board.
It is an AMD A8-6500
I've just gone to the gigabyte website here and the motherboard I have bought is not listed that I can see.
Is that correct and I need to send the motherboard back?
Is that also why the heatsink doesn't fit?
Appreciate any help on this guys. I am trying to sort this for my mate's son and it looks like I have bought the wrong type of Motherboard
