CPU Cooler advice

I am looking for a decent CPU cooler for my Phenom ii 965. Most adverts say that a cooler is ok for AM2 fewer still say AM2+ and very few say AM3. Are these all the same size?
Anyone tell me a cooler that doesn't fit AM3 when it does work with AM2?

Want to spend less than £40 any suggestions welcome regarding cooling.

AMD have used the same mounting system since 939, i think. Point is yes, anything that sais AM2 on it will work.
