Right, ive just got myself a nzxt vulcan which i quite like other than being a little tight to work with im almost there, had to ditch the h50 as it wont fit without removing the front hdd cage, anyway i got a Zalman CNPS10X today along with the case but i cant fit it either as a push or a push pull setup as the fan would be fowled by my ram, now i could take the drastic action of getting some ram without huge heatsinks but that will just end up costing me more, so what would you recommend, the width of the fan is 74mm (apparantly from specs on here, ive not yet measure it) any idea what is half decent but wont fowl the ramsinks?

What are your temps using the fan as above? Having it pull through the heatsink shouldn't be more that a couple of degrees hotter than using a push config.

If you definately want a change the Thermalright Venomous X is only 63mm in width so around 1cm less than the Zalman you have. Otherwise the Prolimatech Armageddon is the thinnest heatsink I know though it could be too long and hit your graphics card.

not the best tbh around 50C idle 65C load at 3.6ghz its on fresh as5 too so it could take a few days to drop a little more

The load temp seems ok. Could just be because it being such a small case the ambient is going to be quite warm.

What direction are the two noctuas at the top blowing? Maybe change the first one just above the ram to an intake so fresh air goes to the front of the heatsink otherwise the only intake at the front seems to be outweighed massively.

You wont get much better temps with extra fan, 3-4c at best in this small case.

Also, if you've got a spare fan already, you can always try sticking it in a bit higher, you know, it doesnt have to EXACTLY matched up with the fan, if its 1-2cm above because of the RAM it will still give you some extra air through it.

Both fans are exhaust atm I might try what you have suggested thanks for your help

Just realised the lower hdd cage unscrews :) I may try that and move it forward to give enough space to install my H50 :D that way i can install the side 200mm fan and get a lot of air in keeping the top 2 as exhausts
