Hi,

I've managed to snag an i7 4790k for a decent price so I'm moving on my i5 which I currently have cooled by a Be Quiet Shadow Rock Pro SR1 - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/be-quiet-shadow-rock-pro-sr1-cpu-cooler-hs-002-bq.html. I'm considering getting a Corsair H80i V2 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...iquid-cpu-cooler-cw-9060024-ww-hs-037-cs.html. Just wondered if I'm likely to see much of an improvement in temps and will the H80i be better suited to overclocking? I guess I'm wanting to know "is it worth it"? I assume the H80 is the better cooling solution? Many thanks.

I wouldn't bother going H80i unless you don't have the clearance for a bigger air cooler like a Dark Rock Pro 3 or NH-D15. The height of the cooler (against case side) is normally the biggest issue with clearance along with taller RAM heatsinks. Even if the bigger air coolers don't fit, I'd look to H100i and above before the H80i.
