Hey guys

I am looking for a new CPU cooler.
I have been looking round quite a lot and it looks like Noctua is the brand to go for because i am hoping to make my pc allot quieter.
Also i would like to be able to overclock my CPU

Currently have an AMD stock cooler on an:
AMD Phenom II 965 C3 Rev (currently stock clocked)

i was looking at this cooler
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-010-NC&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=

but fear that my case will be to small specs are:
270x470x430mm (WxDxH)

Will this cooler fit or is there a better cooler i could fit some quiet Noctua fans to.

Also i am planning to get a new case in the near future currently looking at the Cooler master CM690 II Advanced and fitting some Noctua fans to make it quiet would this be a good choice.

Cheers in Advance
Regards Ryan

Also to add my currently my idle temps are 50 degrees C and load can be up to 60 i hear that max for these is 62

For CPU cooler, I think you look for a Thermalright Venomous X (around £40), and add a pair of quiet fans with high Static Pressure. You might find the following topic useful for choosing fans for intake, exhaust, heatsink:

As for case, I myself have just ordered a Cooler Master 690 II Advanced. From what I recall, out of the box it's cooling is not as great as the Antec 902 (mainly because the Antec 902 has a 200mm top exhaust fan and two 120mm front intake fans vs 690 II's 140mm top exhaust and only one 140mm front intake fan), and , BUT the 690 II does have quite a lot of spare fan slots which additional fans can be added (1 top, two bottom, two side panel vs Antec only having one for side panel)...and personally, I like 690 II's lay out more than the Antec 920...hell, I even like the look of the 690 II more.

Cheers for the quick replies.

Just looked at some of the suggestions the two cases you suggested were just a tad expensive for my tight wallet i liked the cooler master because i see it as good value also i was planning to get a long video card probably new Radeon 6000 series and i have seen this case fit them.

I was considering the R3 but the overall look doesn't totally appeal to me but Thanks.

For the cooler i was looking for a solid performer as well as being quiet because id do plan to overclock this CPU will be sure to look at that cooler and see what reviews say about it.
I was just thinking Noctua because i have seen many good things about them being quality and quiet. But any other suggestions welcome

Cheers Guys
