CPU Cooler Blue Orb

Hi, has any body used a Thermaltake Blue Orb CPU cooler ?
I have a AMD XP3000+ and wish to fit the above, any comments please.

I have fitted one on a 6300 and DS3.

LOL the fan doesn't spin when you boot the PC.

It comes on after about 5 mins and then it only just spins.

Is that not a bit worrying

I am not too sure if i would want my CPU not being cooled right away ! ! !
is this a setting in BIOS perhaps or a varible fan speed controller turned right down ! ?

i use blue orb II on my AMD, and my fan DOES spin as soon as powered on, also has good cooling performance IMO, its huge though and if you have ram with tall heatspreaders (like myself) it can be a problem

Not really when the temps get high enough it does lol

DS3/DS4 have proper PWM thermostatic control. It scared the living daylights out of me when I first got my DS4 running. But it does work just fine.

Yeah, like wja says, thats the board not the cpu cooler
