CPU cooler detached in transit, not sure what screws to replace?

My cpu cooler (TITAN FENRIR EVO EXTREME HEATPIPE CPU COOLER) broke off the mobo in transit. The 4 screws/bolts attaching it to the mobo have snapped in half so are unusable.

I think the cooler itself still probably works so I would just prefer to buy replacement bolts/screws to attach it back. I am unsure what to buy exactly as I didnt build my pc myself. There is a link to the cpu cooler with pictures I think that will help.

Also there is residue left of the thermal paste on the cpu heatsink and the cpu itself, do I have to clean that off somehow?

What thermal paste do you also recommend I use?, ive never applied it before.

You don't know what (if any) other damage has been done.

Ive had this cooler for 2 years now and was actually damaged while inside the case, as my desktop itself was being transported. So I am trying to figure out if I can save myself some money and just buy screws instead of a new cooler.

Is there any concrete way I could check if there is any damage? Don't think I can see any scratches but not too sure. I've turned on my pc and I only get a cpu fan not connected and cpu high temperature message. I continued anyway and ran it for a few minutes, nothing seemed wrong but who knows. I turned it off incase.

Any programs out there that can sort of test if anything is damaged?

You really don't like your pc do you? Never, ever run the pc without a cooler. That's how things get fried. Scratches on the pcb's should be easy enough to see. You are looking for damaged traces or components knocked off. A magnifying glass may help.

I suppose my actions just stem from ignorance, I didnt build my pc and only know how to replace a few parts so I am learning as I go along. I appreciate the advice though, I am going to check for any scratches again (but miraculously I think everything seems fine) and if all seems ok I will install my new noctua dh-15 cooler as I need my pc for work.
