Ok folks, should be an easy one.
I have an i5 750 (socket 1156?) on a Asus P7P55D-E LX running at stock. All 4 ram slots are filled with Corsair xms3 (the stuff with the basic low profile headsink).
I want to put my rig into a new windowed case and want to change the stock heatsink for something that will:
1) Run quietly
2) Look good
3) Give me some headroom for future processor changes
I guess I am not putting a lot of strain on things so I assume most after-market coolers will do the job, so I am looking for recommendations of what people know are good.
I never buy top-end so future upgrades will probably be the latest i5 or equivalent.
Haven't finalised my case choice yet so it would be good to nail this first so I can check clearances.
Budget is ideally under £35 but will go to £40 if I really need to. I consider the £60-70 coolers way over the top for my needs and I could be spending that on decent case fans instead.
Cheers all.
