Hi Guys,
I've started to look at a CPU cooler for my phenom 965 as I'm currently on stock cooling, but I'm having a few problems.
My original plan was to get the Noctua NH-U12P SE2, but having read various reviews it seems that it can only be mounted one way on the am3 socket?
Would this be an issue if the fans were blowing the air straight up and would it even fit in an Lian Li B10 Case?
If this is an issue, are there any am3 coolers out there that can be mounted so that the fans blow the air back towards the fan at the back of the case?
My budget is up to 60£.

If you fancy a Noctua you could try sourcing a NH-U12P as these can be definitely be pointed towards the back of the case or up. You would have to buy the second fan though which make it more expensive that the SE2. Noctua say that the towards the back or upwards is fine although make sure that it won't interfere with RAM sockets etc.

Strange that Noctua took out the mounting hardware that allowed the orientation of the cooler to be changed, presumably down to cost.

Thx for the help, I went with the Corsair H50 in the end as it's on offer at the moment.
Can't wait to install it and get my phenom overclocked! :D
