Ok everyone I cant make my mind up about the choice of CPU Cooler for my Core2 rig, which I will be ordering soon.

Its either

1. Scythe Ninja

or

2. Arctic Freezer 7 Pro

Lets have your choices please, my choice will be which ever has the most votes by the time I order my system(no more than 2 weeks from now - 28/08/06)

Cheers all

Bry.

The Scythe ninja is a better cooler than the Artic 7 pro full stop. The artic 7 pro is a very good budget cooler but if you want the best then get the ninja.

Are you after the best cooler or is there a budget?

Scythe ninja is good but if you can get or wait for a Thermalright ultra 120 that would be even better, same goes for the Tuniq tower although they are even harder to get. Scythe infinity is on the horizon too and it should beat the lot but it might be a long wait. Scythe Ninja is still the best readily available cooler i believe.

I am getting the Silverstone "TEMJIN" TJ06S-W (Silver) Aluminum Supertower Case with Window (w/o PSU) - not available on OcUK, so you will have to go find a pic of it if ya want to see it

I just rebuilt my pc yesterday, all I've changed is the case and cooler as I was using a vapochill xe, but got sick of it breaking down. Now using a Antec P180 case with a Tuniq Tower 120 cooler and I'm very impressed. My case temp is a steady 30c and my s478 Prescott 3.2 is idling at 43c and goes up to about 50c load, forget to mention it's also overclocked to 240x16=3840mhz. I could only overclock it to 250x16=4000mhz using the vapochill. Very impressed with the P180 and the Tuniq Tower.

P180 is a very good case and the tuniq tower is a very good cooler, however it doesn't have the scope for low noise semi passive operation that the ninja has but more importantly its still almost impossible to get hold of which is why i'm recomending the Ultra 120 or Ninja instead.

One other thing I forgot to mention, I have the fan in the Tuniq tower turned right down and you can hardly hear it. Besides after using a Vapochill XE most things are quiet.
