- Ok so im running a Q9550 @ 3.2Ghz (400x8) with RAM at 1066mhz stock.
Now idle temps sit around 47 to 51*C on the 4 cores.
Crysis plays fine and temps only go up a little ..to say 60*C.
But running Prime 95 will put cores to 75*C in just a few minutes then mobo starts clicking like mad.
Running on stock cooler.
Now with my old S939 i was using a Gigabyte copper block cooler. It was amazing at cooling but my god it was loud. I want something quite silent.
So i want to put the CPU to 3.4Gz & run prime95 without the temps going nuts.
Then i can go hardcore and start messing with my Lan Party X48 settings.
