hey guys i think i have a problem. i currently have this http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4N68TM_V2/#download
and it only has 2 RAM slots.
i was thinking about getting the Arctic Cooling Freezer7 pro rev 2 as my stock AMD fan is seriously driving me crazy when gaming. the problem is some reviews state that this cooler takes up the first 2 RAM slots on a mobo and i only have 2 lol. is there anyone who has been in a similar situation and can advise me what cooler i can get. thanks and my case is a xigmatek asgard. also my RAM is small and the height barely exceeds the height of the clips that hold the RAM in.
thanks for any help.

Ignore those pictures.

With AMD the cooler has to fit the other way around so the fan blows bottom to top rather than front to back.

Looking for some information on that now.

Best I can find at the minute:

hmmm that is an ATX board isnt it? i wish the manufacturers would state which boards they will fit without blocking RAM slots. maybe im just gonna have to go for the Antec Kuhler 620 if i cant find the right info for the air coolers. thanks again for your help.

i expect everyone on these forums is sick and tired of me going on about it, but have you looked at the Zalman CNPS9900MAX LED?
(you have a choice of a blue or red LED fan)

it doesnt cover any of the RAM slots, and is only 152mm tall, so it should fit in the Xigmatec asguard. my elite 342 is narrower than the asguard and it fits in there. my case also doesnt physically have enough space for a rear 120mm fan (it would either clash with the mobo back panel or stick out of the side of the case) so theres another good sign that it will fit height wise

this is the best picture i could find of it mounted:

if you dont like it then i would suggest the OcUK H²Flo. its basically a corsair H60 but with corsair crossed out and corsair's rubbish fan removed (you have to buy one separately)

im glad you actually said about the zalman because i was actually looking at one a while back but thought maybe its a bit to big. i like the look of them too. are they good coolers but more important are they quiet? thanks for the info its a great help.
