CPU cooler powered by the CPU

Chipset cooler? Is it not? Looks well natty wonder how it's perform in a typical tower where the orientation would be different.

Theoretically, couldn't you generate electricity like that and feed some of it back into the system, meaning lower power consumption?

Yep, it's a northbridge cooler. Saw it earlier and thought it was a really good idea, won't exactly save much power but the fan speed will be self regulating.

Thats a very good point, otherwise it would just be a toy and really an unnecessary over complication

Ive had self regulating fans before but they osilate and draw attention to themselves. Irregular noises are far more noticeable, nothing wrong with a normal regular noise even if clearly audible.

This is a good analogue natural system so might be good
