hi guys,

I have recently bought a coolermaster cosmos s, and i would like to get a cpu cooler which will fit in the case without having to remove the fan on the side panel. i was just wondering (and hoping) that someone else has a cosmos s with an air cpu cooler fitted without having removed the side panel fan, and could help with some reccomendations :D

I recently fitted the megahalems in the cosmos S. It was far too big for it with the side-panel on. In the end we removed the panel, bought some polycarbonate, cut it to fit the panel and sprayed it black. As the megahalems would not fit I guess you can also strike of similarly sized tower coolers like the TRUE, Noctua U12P and Titan Fenrir (ie the good ones). I recommend removing panel as I did and getting a decent cooler.

looking around the net i think it has a 145mm clearance, so if i want to put an air cooler in i guess i just have to try and find a decent one which is less than 145mm tall, i'm only cooling an E8400, and it's on stock speeds and no OC'd

would i be able to use one of the low profile cpu coolers?, as i've said, i don't intend to overclock. but would it be enough for an e8400 if i add some extra 120mm fans. how does the corair h50 work? is it easy to install?

Aye, one of the low profile coolers would work fine. The Corsair H50 is a sealed water cooling unit, so its is no fuss once you have it attached and plugged in (which is very simple).

But if you plan not to overclock, maybe you should look for something less expensive as it one of the high-end aircoolers or the Corsair H50 would be slightly wasted with the CPU only at stock speeds. In that case, this CPU cooler would be a good bet.
