I've got a sempron 2800 that runs a little too hot for my liking (61 degrees) as it's in a M-ATX case. Are there any good socket A coolers that will keep it below this? Its curently using the stock cooler.

Oh it can't be too tall as the PSU will get in the way.

if your looking for a cheap but very effective option try a coolermaster cp5-8jd1f-0L. its rated from upto a xp3200 but i use it on mine with a better fan and it idles at 35 and never goes above 45 but usually 41ish. i am slighty ocd so should be a lot lower with your chip. oh and they cost about £7. if u want review pm as dont want to advertise here!!

I used my gigabyte g-power pro for my xp3200 and it worked very well. Used to idle around 35 and the cpu was running at 2.3gig. The added bonus of this cooler is that its universal so after i sold my socket A stuff and got my current rig its now sitting on top of my clocked 3700sd and keeps that at 30'c idle on a 2.85 clock using 1.55v :) Its also fairly quiet on the lowest speed and thats all i need it set at to keep my temps low.

Might want to consider the thermalright si-97 after checking its dimensions. Doesn't come with a fan but is quite possibly the best socket A air solution.
