hi am looking for a CPU cooler for my core 2 quad 2.4ghz.
Am after silence rather than cooling performance as am not looking to over clock it by more than a few hundred MHz.
Looking to spend about £30 and want a fan that uses PWM

does any one have an surgestions for me???
 
Get the Xigmatek HDT-S1283. Works really well with low air flow, though the standard fan isn't the best. SPCR have reviewed it with using the Nexus basic fan replacing the standard. For the same cooling performance it was 6dBA quieter, though it depends how silent you actually do want. I would personally use it with the stock fan first to see what it is like unless you have a better fan laying around. And yes the stock fan is PWM, can be found for sub £20.
