cpu cooler

hi, I am thinking of buying the Xigmatek S1283-Dark Knight cpu cooler but on the box (the one I saw at my local shop) it says that it fits up to socket AM2. Does it still fit AM3 socket or the cooler bracket is totally different and won't fit?

so the AM2 bracket supplied with the cooler will fit on an AM3 motherboard right?

hopefully cos I still want the fan to blow up. But it seems so cos the clips on the motherboard seem to have the same orientation
