hello, as the title says i am stuck between cpu coolers, i have the build in my signature and i want to overclock it to between 4.3 and 4.5 and i am stuck between coolers. i want to only spend 15 quid on this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-018-XG&tool=3 and i am wondering will be able to cool my cpu enough or am i best going for this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-001-GD and spending an extra 10 quid which i don't really want t do as i have just through 700 at a new system

All that and you're going to cheap out on the cooler? Not so sure how those coolers will stack up to an Ivy without a delidding/re-TIM tbh, some 4.5Ghz-4.6GHz clocks i've done with them give a NHD-14 some work to do muchless those.

O.o, £15 on a IB cooler? bit crazy if you ask me, IB runs hot at those clocks, some people can barely get those clocks with really good coolers, best to be spending at least 40-60 if you want good temps at those clock speeds. the cooler is not something you want to skimp out on..

Can understand where Justintime is coming from.

You have a great system. Would be nice to have a cooler in same class. Noctua, Thermalright, Phanteks to name a few.

Like everyone else said Ivy runs hot when you push it, spend the money or stick with stock, the stock cooler was ok up to 4.1Ghz but noisy as hell.

You don't want to end up buying a cheep one then find its not fit for purpose and buying a second time.
