Hi there im looking to over clock my cpu i7 920 to the ******** and was wondering if water coolers last long ? and matenaince on them? also what would be a good air fan ?

Add the Phanteks to the above list and that's pretty much the top choices at the moment.

or custom water loop if u got the time and cash to do it

Custom water loop will give the best performance but they can be expensive and take time to maintain. The large air coolers give good performance but their size can cause problems. The self contained water coolers give similar performance to the large air coolers, but they can be quite loud.

The phanteks is very well reviewed, it can perform better than the DH-14.
