Hi guys,

I built a computer a while ago and I've always had fairly high temps on my i5 3570k stock cooler.

Usually around 40 degrees idle and then up to 70+ when playing something like SWTOR.

I've just had a look and realised that I stupidly hadn't pushed all the pins in so they were tight which has now reduced temps a bit but I still think I want a decent cooler.

Looking around this price - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-035-AR&tool=3

Any good? Do they come with thermal paste attached? Do I just need to remove the thermal paste thats on there now?

Cheers!

Better than stock, but you can do much better for a little more. I'd be looking into the Xigmatek Gaia, or the Thermalright True Spirit 120, which would be my choice, especially if you have tall RAM / limited case clearance.

I had a Freezer 7 pro awhile ago, a decent cooler that is quiet (at low speeds), just installed a Hyper 212 EVO after my h80i decided to die on me and its keeping my CPU very cool not that far of the h80i performance I had.
However you should be looking at getting something with alittle more oomph, something like

Xigmatek Gaia
Coolmaster Hyper 212 EVO
Themalright True Spirit 120
Alpenföhn Matterhorn Pure Edition

All of which are better than the 7 pro and have the option for a second fan should you desire which is always good to have.
